Frank Quitely is the Glasgow artist well-known for his award winning work on ‘All Star Superman’ and ‘X-Men’. Starting his illustration career in the Scottish underground humour comic ‘Electric Soup’ with his parody of Scottish strip ‘The Broons’, calling his ‘The Greens’, he quickly moved on to work in '2000 AD' with 'Missionary Man' before moving to DC with 'Batman: The Scottish Connection'. An accomplished artist and caricaturist outside of comics, he has created a series of illustrations of typical Scottish drinkers, called ‘The Sarry Heid’s’, after the notorious Glasgow pub, ‘The Saracen’s Head’. You can now buy affordable art prints of Frank Quitely's fantastic work here at the Dangerous Ink Gallery. |
